Open Listening: A Way to Listen to What Animals Say

I am an animal communicator. But I don’t tell people I am an animal communicator. I hear what the animals say, how they feel. I have since I was a little girl. I dont track in words spoken, I track in the energy behind the words. Animals communicate with me in a way that does not live in the language of being a human being. Animals have taught me how to listen with curiosity and an open perspective not focused on a final conclusion or any level of certainty.
I don’t tell people what I hear; what their animal is thinking or feeling. Rather, I ask them what they think or feel their animal is thinking or feeling. In this way, I wait quietly while they slow down, listen and find the answer themselves. In this way, they empower their own intuition. And then I simply confirm their own ability to communicate with their animal (often with nothing more than a smile). And so they learn how to answer their own question. They learn how to trust their own intuition, a birth right handed down through thousands of generations.
If I tell them, they will never know that they too, can learn to listen to the choir of unspoken sound; of intuition, an unspoken world of communication that has no words and the tremendous potential of a depth of relationship that feeds the soul. Taking wing on tiny water molecules…
In this way, by not telling someone how to connect to nature, how to connect to horses, to their animals and even to the homeless girl sitting in sorrow on cracked cement, they learn in the silence how to stop waiting for someone else’s instruction; to stop waiting for someone else’s ‘higher power’ to be the answer, and instead inhaling the tiny water molecules circling back filling their senses with the necessary moisture to hear in a different in language. Not a language filled with words, but a language that is filled with shapes, colors, movement, senses, temperature, and….
